Charles R. Lambert III was born in Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Lambert earned a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Florida . Mr. Lambert received his law degree from Florida State University , where he served as Editor in Chief of the Florida State University Business Review. While in law school, Mr. Lambert worked as a law clerk at the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the Division of Pari-Mutuel wagering. Mr. Lambert began his criminal law career as a certified legal intern at The Children's Advocacy Center in Tallahassee, FL, representing juveniles in criminal cases as well as dependency proceedings.
Following law school, Mr. Lambert accepted a position at the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office. While working as an Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Lambert handled hundreds of criminal cases involving traffic, misdemeanor, juvenile and felony charges, as well as appeals. Mr. Lambert gained invaluable experience at every stage of the criminal justice system, from arrest to trial. In 2007, Mr. Lambert joined The Criminal Defense Group.
Mr. Lambert has completed over 25 Continuing Legal Education courses, dealing with a wide array of topics related to the practice of criminal law, including DUI, firearms, murder, search warrants, illegal detentions, evidence, speedy trial, trial preparation, sentencing, investigations, conflicts of interest, client testimony, prosecutorial misconduct, ethics, immigration, psychiatric issues and the Jessica Lunsford Act.
